Workshop on “Hospital Infection Control and Soft Skills

Continuing Nursing Education, Placement and Training Unit of Adichunchanagiri College of Nursing in association with Apollo Health & Lifestyle organized Workshop on “Hospital Infection Control and Soft Skills” from 13-12-19 to 14-12-19 at CME Hall, AIMS.
Prof. Dr. Chandrashekar Shetty, Honorable Vice Chancellor ACU, was the Chief Guest, Mr. Renuka prasanna M S, Ms. Tharani Juleit and Mr Venkatesh Chawan were the Resource Persons for the workshop, Prof. Dr. N V Muninarayanappa, were present on the occasion. The Programme was inaugurated by the dignitaries by lighting the lamp. Honorable Vice Chancellor in his address explained about how to improve the quality in health care industries because it may vary from one hospital to another but we can maintain one quality care. Even Vice chancellor mentioned being a health care members we the nurses should maintain the protocol and standard operating procedure. Prof. Dr. N V Muninarayanappa principal of college of nursing in his address emphasized that the nurses are responsible for the nursing care and we need to contribute to the society by providing quality care, nurses can reduce mortality and morbidity also economic burden on family and society by providing efficient and effective care. The session concluded with Vote of thanks.

Guest Lecture on “Obstetrical Emergencies and role of midwives 

Dept. of OBG Nursing of Adichunchanagiri College of Nursing had organized Guest Lecture on “Obstetrical Emergencies and role of midwives” on 16.12.2019 for final year B.Sc Nursing, 3rd Year GNM and 1st Year P.B.B.Sc Nursing students at CME Hall, AIMS and the speaker was Prof. Dr. A E Manjjuri, Principal, SSSIHMS College of Nursing, Bengaluru.
In the session speaker has discussed about the introduction, different types of obstetrical emergencies, role of midwives. Totally 100 students were benefited from this lecture session. Prof. Victoria J Sarvand, HOD of OBG Department and teaching faculties were present. The lecture was ended with feedback session

M/s APOLLO CRADLE , Bengaluru conducted Campus Recruitment Drive for Final Year Diploma Nursing and B.Sc Nursing Students.

M/s APOLLO CRADLE , Bengaluru conducted Campus Recruitment Drive for Final Year Diploma Nursing and B.Sc Nursing Students on 7th August 2019 @ ACU Campus. Total Fourty two students sat for eligibility test and 22 students got eligibility. After personal interview 15 students got offer of ctc Rs 21000per month.

A World Breastfeeding Week – 2019 was organized by the Department of OBG & Paediatrics Nursing on theme “Empower Parents, Enable Breastfeeding” on 02/08/2019 at OBG OPD, AH&RC
